Former Polestar head of sales Matt Hawkins has joined Flexis as head of UK market.
Flexis is joint venture from Renault and Volvo, which specialises in last-mile delivery solutions.
The business plans to launch its first vehicle, an electric van, in 2026.
Hawkins said: "The world of commercial vehicles is lagging behind in its ambition to electrify fleets and this largely down to the current crop of vehicles not being fit for purpose when it comes to last mile delivery.
"Flexis will change that. We will launch a fleet of vehicles that are built specifically for this segment. We will partner with the operators of these fleets and involve them in the development of software that seamlessly integrates their operations into the vehicles they use."
Hawkins left Polestar after a three-and-a-half year stint with the brand.
He was succeeded by Steve Beattie, former Vauxhall national contract hire and leasing manager.
