Mercedes-Benz has given the EQE saloon a refreshed powertrain line up, boosting the car's range and performance.

The entry-level EQE 300 is replaced by the EQE 350+, which now uses a larger 96kWh battery and features a more powerful motor.

With 292PS, the 350+ can accelerate from 0-62mph in 6.5 seconds. The car also has a longer range and can travel up to 429 miles (WLTP) between charges.

A dual motor EQE 500 4Matic variant is also now available, with 408PS. It uses a slightly smaller 91kWh battery and has a range of up to 385 miles.

The 500 manages the 0-62mph dash in 4.7 seconds.

A revised trim line-up sees Sport Edition remain as the start point to the range, followed by sportier-looking AMG Line. The AMG Line Night Edition Premium and AMG Line Night Edition Premium Plus grades bring additional equipment such as air suspension, keyless entry and a sunroof.

The 500 and AMG models now come with the MBUX Hyperscreen package as standard. This blends a larger central touchscreen with a second display for the front passenger.

Alongside the EQE 350+ and EQE 500, Mercedes continues to offer the 625PS AMG EQE 53.

Prices for the revised EQE line-up start at £69,105. The new 500 model is available from £82,605.
