Ogilvie Fleet has launched Ogilvie Rental Select+, a 90-day plus rental solution designed to provide customers with greater flexibility, transparency and choice when choosing vehicles for their fleets.

Unlike traditional rental models where customers receive a vehicle within a broad category, Ogilvie Rental Select+ allows customers to pick specific models from a live stock list of almost 500 vehicles.

Ogilvie says that this allows businesses to better manage costs such as the benefit-in-kind (BIK) tax implications, insurance policies and operational requirements.

Rental Select+ builds on Ogilvie’s ongoing commitment to plugging short-term gaps in fleet operations, allowing businesses to access a range of new and nearly new vehicles, including both cars and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), and fuel types including electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) and traditional internal combustions engine (ICE) vehicles.

The service is available to both new customers and more than 600 of Ogilvie’s current contract hire clients, with vehicles rented through the service managed entirely by Ogilvie Fleet.

This, it says, aligns servicing and maintenance with existing fleet arrangements, creating a one-call service that simplifies administration.

Additionally, cars remain with the customer for the duration of the agreed term, avoiding unnecessary swaps through the duration of the original hire period.

“Ogilvie Rental Select+ is an evolution of what we’ve already been successfully offering to our mini-lease customers,” said Ian Bennett, rental director.

“By providing direct access to current and future stock lists, we are giving fleet operators greater control, consistency, and certainty of costs.

“We are confident that this will further improve our service for customers as they increasingly look for more flexibility when they provide employees with company vehicles.”

Alongside Rental Select+, Ogilvie Daily Rental continues to provide its short-term hires and by working with its rental partners, last year facilitated almost half a million vehicle rental days.
