Nexus has announced a record number of vehicles on rent during December 2024, with 28,293 vehicles out on the road at a single time.
That represented a 28% increase on the 22,150 vehicles reported at the same time in 2023.
The record-breaking number caps off a year of growth for Nexus, driven by a rebrand and, it says, a high level of investment in its vehicle rental management software, Iris.
The business has also expanded its electric vehicle (EV) offerings in 2024, giving it access to one of the largest ranges of EVs in the UK.
Looking into 2025, Nexus is looking to continue development in its Iris software, build on its EV, HGV and plant hire offering.
Stuart Miles, chief revenue officer at Nexus, said: “To reach this record milestone so soon after our rebrand is fantastic.
“It is a testament to the hard work of our team, the trust of our suppliers and customers, and the market-leading technology that powers the business.
“It really highlights the importance of flexible rental solutions nowadays, especially at a time when businesses are focusing on efficiency and sustainability.”
He added: “As we celebrate this milestone, we are still focused on remaining committed to helping customers navigate the future of vehicle rental.
“Whether that is through expanding our vehicle offering and range even further, or continuing to improve and update our technology, our message is clear – we are here to help businesses thrive.”
