Skoda has expanded the Suberb line-up with the addition of a Sportline trim level.

Prices for the Superb Sportline start at £42,290.

The Sportline trim can be applied to both hatchback and estate versions of the Superb and combined with one of six powertrain options.

It is defined by gloss black detailing on the front grille surround, window frames and door mirrors. Both bumpers, which are unique to the SportLine, feature gloss black inserts, with the estate version adding black roof rails to the design package. The hatch, meanwhile, features a subtle gloss black strip on the tailgate diffuser.

Further enhancing the sporty feel are 19-inch olished black alloy wheels, bespoke SportLine badging on the front wings and black Skoda lettering on the tailgate.

Inside, the new Superb Sportline features sport seats with integrated headrests, electric controls and manually adjustable seat length. Both front seats come with heating and massage function as standard.

There is also black headlining, a three-spoke leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel, aluminium pedal covers and fully adjustable ambient lighting.

The Superb Sportline engine line-up includes petrol and diesel options with 150 - 265PS and front- or all-wheel-drive configurations.

A plug-in hybrid powertrain is offered on the Estate. It features a 25.7kWh battery and has a zero-emission range of 79 miles.
