Skywell will enter the commercial vehicle space in 2025 with the introduction of a new large electric van.

The vehicle, codenamed '233', is due to launch at the CV Show, in April.

Skywell, part of Chinese consumer electronics brand Skyworth, is new to the UK. Its debut model is the BE11 SUV, which goes on sale in November.

UK imports are handled by Innovation Automotive, the company behind DFSK.

The 233 will initially be available in two body lengths (5,490mm and 5,990mm) and two roof heights (2,200mm and 2,700mm) corresponding to a load volume range of approximately 9.5 to 13 cubic metres.

There will be an option of either a 3.5t or 4.25t gross vehicle mass (GVM); the latter offering a payload of up to 1,755Kg.

The Skywell 233 is fitted with a 204PS electric motor and can be equipped with either an 88kWh or105kWh battery. Details on range are yet to be confirmed.

Skywell will present the vehicle at the CV Show, where pricing will be anoounced.
