The first 30,000 Stellantis vehicles in a potential mega fleet deal of up a quarter of a million cars and vans have been delivered to Sixt in just five months.

The manufacturer signed the multi-billion euro agreement with the rental company in January.

Uwe Hochgeschurtz, Stellantis chief operating officer, enlarged Europe, said: “It is with great pleasure that we can announce the delivery of the 30,000th vehicle to Sixt in 2024.

“This all-time record score for Stellantis after such a short period is a testament to our strong partnership.”

With the global deal signed at the start of the year for up to 250,000 vehicles to be deployed in rental fleets across Europe and North America over the next three years.

The 30,000 vehicles delivered in the first five months have been for European operations and encompass more than 50 models from nine brands.

Since the launch of the partnership, Sixt customers have driven more than 300 million kilometres (186 million miles) in Stellantis cars.

Konstantin Sixt, Co-CEO of Sixt, said: “It is great to see this successful partnership come to life and to welcome the 30.000th of many exciting Stellantis’ vehicles enriching our fleet.

“My sincere appreciation goes to the Stellantis team and the Sixt team for their great collaboration.

“Our partnership with a progressive, full-range car manufacturer like Stellantis underscores our ambitious growth strategy and our promise to provide customers with the best choice for all their mobility needs.”

As part of its Dare Forward 2030 strategic plan, Stellantis is on track to become a carbon net zero corporation by 2038 and aims for a 100% battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales mix in Europe and a 50% BEV sales mix in the US by 2030.

Sixt’s goal is to significantly decrease the CO2 footprint of its rental fleet, reaching a share of 70-90% electrified vehicles in Europe by 2030.

Stellantis and Sixt are also exploring potential cooperation opportunities in various regions around the world including with Mobilisights, Stellantis’ data as a service (DaaS) business, to provide and develop data packages for developing and licensing business-to-business products and applications.

Sixt says that, thanks to the Stellantis fleet deal, the number of fully connected vehicles in its rental fleet will also increase significantly.
