Hitachi Capital Commercial Vehicles has donated a five-year old Ford Transit to Manheim to to sell during its fortnight of Transit 50th birthday events.

All procees from the sale will go to charity.

The vehicle is a 2010 Ford Transit 330 2.2 TDCI 115PS MWB Medium Roof Panel Van. The van has optional air conditioning, a twelve month MOT and has covered 86,000 miles.

The winning bidder will pay no buyer indemnity or Simulcast fees, and will also receive free delivery and a Platinum Plus valet, donated by PJM Group.

To celebrate the Ford Transit’s 50th birthday, starting on 3rd August and running until 14th August, Manheim is pledging £10 for each Transit it sells at its auction events, with £5 donated to Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity supported by Ford UK, and £5 going to the Manheim Foundation.

Manheim has a fundraising target of £10,000 and has so far pledged £2600 from the sale of 210 Transit vans. The 2010 Ford Transit donated by Hitachi Capital, will be auctioned off at the leasing company’s regular fortnightly sale at Manheim Haydock on Tuesday 11th August.
