Pricing for the new Vauxhall Grandland has been reduced by up to £4,700 as part of a revised pricing structure for the car maker's models.
The Grandland is now available for £37,345, in Design trim. The price cuts mean both Design and GS models cost less than £40,000, meaning they avoid the 'expensive car supplement' VED uplift.
GS is priced at £38,495 (saving £4,650), while Ultimate trim sees the largest reduction of £4,700 with a new OTR price of £40,495.
In our recent first drive review of the new Grandland, we concluded it was a significant step forward for Vauxhall.
The revised pricing also means that the gap between Hybrid and Electric is narrowed – with the expected best-selling GS trim attracting a price walk of just £1,845 between GS Hybrid and GS Electric.
James Taylor, managing director of Vauxhall, said: “Vauxhall is committed to electrifying Britain – we have an electric version of every car and van in the Vauxhall line-up and we are doing all we can to make Britain’s switch to electric simple and attainable for our customers. With the recent Budget confirming the introduction of the new Vehicle Excise Duty rules from April 2025, we are pleased to announce that two of our three New Grandland Electric versions, representing around an expected 80% of sales, will not attract this new tax – making going electric in our latest family SUV even more attainable”.
The Grandland Electric sits at the top of Vauxhall’s fully refreshed SUV line-up and is the first Vauxhall based on the STLA Medium platform. It features a 73kWh battery, a 213PS motor with 345Nm of torque and a standard-fit heat pump, enabling a range of up to 325 miles (WLTP) on a single charge.
The revised pricing on Grandland Electric follows recent price reductions across Vauxhall’s electric car line-up. The Corsa Electric is now available for £29,045, while the Astra Electric can be had for £34,945.
