Vauxhall has revealed an updated version of the Mokka with a streamlined engine and trim level line-up.

As the first model to debut Vauxhall's new design language, changes to the car's aesthetic have been kept to a minimum.

The front bumper has been redesigned to improve aerodynamics and the lighting signature has been tweaked.

All versions now come with gloss black exterior trims and there's a new 'aero' wheel design for the Mokka Electric.

Inside, the Mokka adopts Vauxhall's latest infotainment operating system and all versions come with dual 10-inch displays. The new setup means there are fewer buttons than before, with more functions controlled via the central touchscreen. Vauxhall has also fitted a new steering wheel with a flattened top and bottom.

Powertrain options are limited to two options. The first is a 1.2-litre Hybrid with 136PS and a six-speed automatic gearbox.

The Mokka Electric comes with a 54kWh battery and a 156PS motor, shared with the Astra Electric. It has a range of up to 250 miles.

As before, Design, GS and Ultimate trim grades are offered. There's no optional extras, however.

Pricing and specification details are expected to be revealed before the end of the year.
