BT Fleet achieves sustainable sucess
BT Fleet has won the International Auto Finance Network (IAFN) Green Fleet Supplier of the Year award for 2016.
The awards ceremony took place at the Tower Bridge Hilton in London, following the IAFN Conference, which is Europe’s premier event for leaders in the auto finance industry. Now in its third year, the event brought together more than 200 industry innovators to celebrate excellence. Joe Fielder, sales director at BT Fleet received the award from Jay Parmar, director of policy and membership at the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Associations (BVRA).
BT Fleet is consistently pushing the boundaries of technology and environmental efficiency to ensure its customers’ environmental footprint is kept at a minimum. For example, it developed a range of compact cabling vehicles for Openreach, part of BT Group, which delivered CO2 emission savings of 65 per cent without any impact on operational capability. This focus on the vehicle is complemented by BT Fleet’s award-winning Risk Management product that educates drivers on the benefits of more responsible driving; a proven factor in reducing the environmental impact of fleets.
The IAFN judges said: “We have seen some great initiatives from BT Fleet that have not only improved efficiency but also had a positive impact on the environment.”
Henry Brace, managing director at BT Fleet, said: “We have developed a deep understanding of how to make fleets run as efficiently as possible and have introduced a number of initiatives for customers to enable them to run their fleets sustainably. We are delighted to see our innovations and efforts being commended by the industry.”
