So far we’ve only seen a concept version of the first Mercedes-Benz pickup truck which is set to go on sale at towards the end of 2017.
Mercedes-Benz is confident that the X-Class will be a popular model in this growing sector and will open pre-orders at the end of January.
It uses the same underpinnings as the Nissan Navara and upcoming Renault Alaskan but promises increased luxury and performance.
There’s no official word on powertrains yet but entry-level engine could be the 2.3-litre four cylinder diesel used in the Navara. Mercedes has said that premium models will get an in-house V6 diesel.
