Vauxhall’s Meriva has undergone a transformation in 2017, joining the company’s growing line-up of crossovers and SUVs.
Following a major revision to the Mokka range in 2016, which introduced the Mokka X, the Crossland X is a similar size, but has a slightly less rugged character as well as offering better practicality.
Vauxhall believes both Crossland X and Mokka X will co-exist with customers choosing the car that suits their needs better, and both will sit below a new, larger SUV model.
More than 120,000 units of the Mokka were registered in the UK since 2012, so making this change to the Meriva, while the appeal of crossovers in Europe is still growing, should help boost sales.
