Volkswagen will launch its largest Polo to date at the end of the year with the new models hitting the road in early 2018.
The supermini has grown into a spacious hatch with a 351 litre boot, the Polo is larger than its predecessor and most of its key rivals including the Vauxhall Corsa, Renault Clio and Ford Fiesta.
The car will be available in S, SE, Match, R Line and Beats special edition with a choice of four petrol and two diesel engines.
The range will start with a 65PS 1.0-litre as well as a 75PS version, there will also be a 95PS with a 1.0 TSI and a 115PS variant with a new 1.5 TSI producing 150PS.
Diesel variants include 80PS and 95PS versions of Volkswagens 1.6 TDI.
The new model will include connected online services, via a 6.5 or eight-inch touch screen, and keyless access via a smartphone.
Prices are expected to rise by around £500 across the range and will be announced closer to the October launch.
