2017 Hyundai Kona
Hyundai will join the small-crossover segment this year with Kona.
The new model will compete with the Renault Captur and Nissan Juke when it goes on sale towards the end of 2017.
Hyundai says the all-new Kona offers the latest technology, making premium features more accessible for a convenient and safe driving experience. It also features a head-up display which projects key driving information directly into the driver’s line of sight.
Two petrol engines will be available at launch: a 1.0-litre three-cylinder, producing 120PS and a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with 177PS. All-wheel-drive and a seven speed automatic gearbox will be available with both units.
The most frugal petrol engine is expected to emit around 119g/km of CO2 and Hyundai is yet to confirm whether its new 1.6-litre diesel engine will be available in the UK.
