Volvo has entered the compact SUV market for the first time with the new XC40.
It's designed to be a premeium product and comes with a high level of standard equipment.
Prices start at £27,905 with four engines and three trim levels to choose from.
The 156PS T3 is available exclusively with front-wheel drive, while the 150PS D3 is offered in front- or all-wheel-drive form. The T4 (190PS), T5 (247PS) and D4 (190PS) come with all-wheel drive and an automatic gearbox.
All XC40's get satnav, LED headlights, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch active TFT configurable driver's information display and rear parking sensors.
