Volkswagen's Golf-based T-Roc will be the brand's first compact crossover, going on sale in late 2017.
With rugged design cues and a low entry price of £19,000 the T-Roc will rival Nissan's Juke and the new Seat Arona.
A range of VW Group petrol and diesel engines will be available ranging from a 1.0-litre turbo petrol to a 2.0-litre 200PS with all-wheel drive.
