Review
I still find it hard to believe that under the bonnet of our Mazda3 is a 2.2 diesel engine that only emits 107g/km of CO2.
Manufacturers have continued to drive down emissions, with Mazda achieving the head-scratching figures thanks to its Skyactiv weight-saving technology.
The engine, gearbox, bodywork and chassis have been made using ultra-lightweight materials and innovative construction methods.
The result is a car which has good acceleration through the gears, handles well and feels relatively sure-rooted on the road, and finds itself in a 17% BIK tax bracket.
