Ogilvie Fleet has made two key appointments to its recently launched South of England sales team to meet customer demand.
Joining the team, which is led by director of sales - south Jo Clark, are new area managers Tracey Bass and Jamie Arkell.
Ogilvie Fleet has almost 12,000 company cars and vans on its books and is forecasting significant growth over the coming years as it becomes a national brand across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, where it is the only mainland vehicle leasing and fleet management company with a local operation.
Furthermore, the appointment of Bass, to cover the South and South West, and Arkell, responsible for London and the South East, comes with Ogilvie Fleet shortlisted for another fleet industry ‘Oscar’.
In the last six years Ogilvie Fleet has won numerous fleet industry awards and among them is one from leading trade publication Fleet News with its annual honours known as the industry ‘Oscars’. Now the company has been revealed as a finalist for the ‘Leasing Company of the Year - up to 15,000 Vehicles Award’. The winner will be announced at a dinner at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London, on March 10.
Clark said: “These are exciting times for Ogilvie Fleet which continues to see significant company car and van growth underpinned by a focus on the continual development and introduction of award-winning online technology and industry-leading customer service.”
The South of England sales team was launched last autumn with the appointment of Clark and Mike Wynn, area manager - South.
Bass has now joined with more than seven years fleet industry experience at risk management provider AA DriveTech, and Mr Arkell brings significant industry knowledge following a nine-year tenure with Zenith as customer relationship manager.
Both newcomers report to Clark, who said: “We have already secured a number of impressive contract wins and anticipate more client signings. As Ogilvie Fleet extends its reach in the South of England I would expect further staff recruitment.
“Ogilvie Fleet is becoming nationally recognised. Both Tracey and Jamie have been committed to building strong customer relationships and providing first class service throughout their careers making them the ideal fit for Ogilvie.
“Ogilvie Fleet’s strong proposition as witnessed by year-on-year growth provides customers with the perfect combination of outstanding customer service alongside industry-leading technology, so providing compelling reasons for businesses choosing the company as their fleet partner.”
Gordon Stephen, managing director of Ogilvie Fleet, which has had its industry leadership position underlined with at least one industry award in each of the last six years, said: “I’m thrilled that we have again been shortlisted for this prestigious Fleet News Award.
“We work in a competitive industry but have managed year-on-year growth for as many years as I can remember. That has been achieved in no uncertain part because of our total commitment to customer service and our investment in people and technology. Our shortlisting for this Award is testament to the hard work from each and every member of the Ogilvie team and the way they work to provide for our clients every need.”
