Lex Autolease has released a new white paper o LCV CO2 emission.
Proposed legislation is due to be passed limiting the average CO2 emissions of LCV manufacturers retailing vehicles within the EU. The scheme is similar in structure to the current car legislation and with significant financial penalties suggested this could increase costs for vehicle manufacturers and therefore could increase the price of LCVs. In a worst case scenario some manufacturers may even stop producing certain vehicles to ensure they meet their emissions targets, which could have a significant impact on some fleet operators.

i think this will affect the fleet maintenace industry as they strongly rely on there customers to buy new vehicles to increase there fleet .I think its high time all fleet maintenace companies put there heads together with the manufacturers to help reduce cost through supply exchange programs .
