Six years after being named general manager, fleet and business at Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Andrew Jago has left to become the new general manager for corporate sales at BMW Group UK.

He replaces Matt Collins, who was appointed general manager national sales, customer support, at BMW Group UK, in February.

Jago will be responsible for leading the team responsible for all BMW and Mini sales to business and leasing customers, reporting to Debbie McIntosh, sales director at BMW UK.

JLR appointed Andrew Jago as general manager, fleet and business, in 2019, having previously been on an international assignment in Germany, where he was sales director of the Europe importer region.

Since joining Jaguar Land Rover in 2012, Jago has also held management positions in global product marketing and North America operations.

Prior to JLR, his automotive career began at a Ford retailer in Wiltshire, followed by 15 years in sales and marketing roles at Toyota (GB) and Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan.

Jago said: “I’m delighted to join BMW Group UK at such a pivotal time and to work with two brands I have long admired.

“Supporting our customers as they navigate the transition to electromobility and successfully establishing our next-generation vehicles are high priorities. I look forward to meeting new colleagues, partners and customers in the coming months.”

McIntosh added: “We are pleased to welcome Andrew to the team at an important moment for the BMW Group, as we begin introducing our next-generation Neue Klasse models to the corporate and fleet market in the coming year.

“His extensive background in fleet and business sales, including his experience navigating significant industry change in recent years, will bring a valuable perspective to the team.”

In a message on LinkedIn, Jago also paid tribute to his time at JLR. “After 13 wonderful years, I will leave JLR on 30th June to commence a new career opportunity at BMW Group,” he said.

“I leave with many happy memories, friendships, and great pride in the contribution of the inspiring people I’ve been privileged to work with.”

He added: “Thanks to my colleagues past and present, our retailers, importers, funders and suppliers who have worked in partnership to achieve exceptional business results over the years.

“I wish you all continued success and look forward to working with new and existing connections in the future.”

JLR told Fleet News it would name Jago’s successor in due course.
