The Shore Group are looking for an experienced Logistics Site Manager for a new ongoing logistics, fit out project in Manchester.

Job Description:

Working closely and reporting directly to the client

Daily co-ordination and management of site labour

Ensuring all site labour are adhering to the Logistics Plan

Ensuring all site labour have read, understood the Method Statements and are working safely with the correct PPE (briefing of RAMS)

Ensuring all additional labour are inducted and wearing the correct PPE

Monitor performance of the site labour team

Report any First Aid, Near Misses or safety breaches to the client immediately

Ensure that all holiday and illness cover is in place in a timely manner

Undertaking the weekly Site Safety Report and closing all Logistic items out from others

Daily Diaries are completed and collated correctly

Weekly allocation work sheets for all labour teams

Maintaining the site and ensuring it is kept as clean as possible, including signage, pedestrian routes, stair core closures and logistics plans

Waste management along with housekeeping for all areas including progress photo’s for issuing of ‘clear up notices’

Weekly Logistics Meetings

Management of all plant and equipment with updated inspections

Notice boards are kept up to date along with fire points

Ordering; monitoring of all site consumables along with daily welfare checks

Manage all storage areas including unloading and lay-down

Managing deliveries providing daily delivery sheets and closing all schedules out to allow monthly reports to be run

Ensuring Health and Safety Standards are kept in line with WEL policies and procedures

Person Specification:

Take ownership of issues

Level headed with ability to display professional demeanour in high pressure environment

Excellent communication skills, including a good standard of written English

Excellent time keeping and flexibility for ‘hand over’ periods

Confident in reporting status of delivery and site issues to Senior Management

Able to work within a team; lead and incentivise the site based labour team

Adaptable, motivated and uses own initiative

Knowledge of Microsoft office packages including word, outlook and excel

Highly organised

Minimum Requirements:

Gold or Black CSCS Card

SMSTS

First Aid

At least 3 years’ site experience

Good understanding of Fire Marshal, Traffic Control, Plant & Equipment, i.e. Hoists etc

Please note this role will be paid direct PAYE, we are not able to pay CIS. Rate negotiable.
