Our well-established client working within the haulage industry are looking to onboard a reliable and experienced Transport Manager to join their already flourishing team!
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and well renowned organisation and be part of a rapidly growing business where hard work and dedication is rewarded. Responsibilities:
Ensuring that all vehicles in the fleet are regularly maintained and roadworthy
Performing regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards
Assigning and overseeing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks
Ensuring that all drivers are properly trained and qualified
Maintaining accurate records for each vehicle and the cargo transported
Overseeing the planning and scheduling of routes to optimise efficiency and meet delivery deadlines
Monitoring transportation costs and finding ways to reduce expenses
Managing all aspects of the O Licence including legal compliance, tachograph rules and driver infringements
Dealing with driver disciplinaries where necessary
Ensuring all transport and health and safety requirements are met
Managing all levels of fleet maintenance and scheduling repairs when necessary
Requirements:
Experience within a similar role is essential
International Transport Management CPC
Results driven
Flexible and reliable with a good attitude
