One of the Midlands largest housing associations, Platform Housing Group, says that being shortlisted for the Fleet News Awards 2025 is an “amazing achievement”.

The awards aim to celebrate the achievements across the fleet sector, honouring excellence, innovation and quality.

The winners will be unveiled on Wednesday, March 12, at the Grosvenor House Hotel, Park Lane, London, with industry experts serving on the judging panel.

Platform Housing Group’s award entry for Fleet of the Year (251-1,000 vehicles) focused on its commitment to decarbonising its vehicle fleet, improvements in both driver and vehicle related risk management, while factoring in a commitment to continually developing its fleet team through sharing best practice and attending industry recognised courses to enhance knowledge and experience. 

Platform’s head of fleet, Matthew Neale, has also been named as a finalist for the Fleet Manager of the Year Award, an acknowledgement of his ongoing leadership and the role he continues to play in managing and improving Platform’s fleet operations.  

He is leading on the development of a new fleet apprentice standard is association with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education to ensure the continued support of fleet managers in the future.
