A new mobility app has been launched by Free2move, marking the full integration of Free2move and Share Now services into a single platform.

The app offers a range of mobility solutions, including free-floating car-sharing, short, medium or long-term rentals and subscription services as well as parking options.

Available on iOS and Android, it gives users access to more than 500,000 cars all over the world, with more than 10,000 cars in a free-floating model both in European and US cities.

Brigitte Courtehoux, CEO of Stellantis-owned Free2move, said: “The launch of the new Free2move app represents a pivotal moment in the company's strategic plan reinforcing its ambition to become the largest mobility platform globally.

“This milestone not only completes the co-branding process started in 2022, but also signals a new chapter for Free2move, furthering its commitment to revolutionizing the mobility experience for its customers.”

Free2move bought car sharing company Share Now in 2022, a joint venture formed by Mercedes-Benz Mobility Group and BMW Group in 2019.

The deal positioned Free2move as a leading global mobility player, adding 14 major European cities and 10,000 vehicles to its existing car sharing fleet of 2,500 vehicles.

Free2move’s digital service model enables customers to take a vehicle for a few minutes or a few hours, and if they need the car longer, they can keep the same vehicle without changing the contract. Pricing automatically adjusts to the length of use.

The integration of the Share Now platform into the Free2move system, it says, will enhance the company’s economies of scale and synergies and supports Stellantis Dare Forward 2030 ambition.
