AUTOGLASS has announced a deal with Lease Plan as the preferred supplier of glass and audio needs for its 40,000 vehicles. Part of the new Lease Plan deal involves an Autoglass 'implant' working full-time at the contract hire and fleet management company's Windsor headquarters.

Meanwhile, two new deals with Eagle Star and Commercial Union mean that 10 million vehicles - half the cars on Britain's roads - are now covered exclusively by Autoglass. And the Bedford-based car glass repair and replacement firm is currently endorsed by every major insurance company in the country covering 16 million cars.

Finally a new study by Autoglass, released to coincide with this week's opening of the British International Motor Show, revealed that every driver in Britain loses an average £20 a year to car crooks. As a result the soaring cost of car crime - up 22% - has added £4 to every drivers' bill.
