COWIE Interleasing has won what is believed to be the largest contract in the UK for the provision of materials handling equipment from the Ministry of Defence. The five-year contract with an option for a further two years includes the funding, procurement, maintenance and disposal of more than 1,400 units of equipment in 29 Army, RAF and Royal Navy locations in the UK.

Cowie Interleasing is partnered with Barlow Handling, part of J Bibby & Sons, which will provide service and maintenance on the vehicles which range from forklift trucks to conveyer belts and trucks and trailers. An equipment management information system was designed by Cowie Interleasing which will govern every fleet management requirement.
