AUTO Windscreens has announced a £3.5 million redevelopment programme at its head office in Chesterfield. Almost half the amount will be allocated to the building of a new 52,000 square foot high-tech factory adjacent to the current manufacturing plant.

The new facility will house state of the art manufacturing technology including a massive new furnace which will enable Auto Windscreens to manufacture the full range of car and commercial vehicle windscreens currently in production. Additional space created within the company's existing manufacturing facility will allow improved quality procedures for packing and dispatch as well as expansion of its nationwide bespoke flat lamination plant glazing service.

14,000 square feet of office space will also be created, enabling all of the company's off-site departments to re-locate to the main European Corporate Centre.
