THATCHAM - the motor insurance research centre - has launched a new vehicle security hotline designed to advise callers on the latest developments in anti-theft deterrents.
The new National Vehicle Security Helpline - 0990 502006 - is equally relevant to private buyers and fleet managers requiring free information on car alarms, immobiliser and tracking devices. Open during normal office hours, the helpline can provide immediate advice followed up by additional information - including a list of approved devices, installation centres and special offers - by post.
The helpline pack explains how drivers can reduce insurance premiums by fitting approved security devices and spells out the values attached by insurers to specific products.
