DAEWOO has increased prices across the board but is still maintaining its cars are at least 19% cheaper than leading rivals specified to the same standard.

Prices now start at £9,445 for the Nexia GLi 3-dr, rising to £11,145 for the GLXi 5-dr. The Espero range starts at £11,735 for the GLXi, rising to £13,735 for the 2.0 CDXi. Daewoo attributed the rises to the cost of changes to the range for the 1997 model year. All prices include three years' free servicing, AA cover and 60,000-mile warranty.
