VAN sales in 1996 continue to be above 1995 levels although the resurgence is greater in the panel van sector than in the car-derived van category.

Sales of vans in the up to 1.8 tonne category total this year 68,496 (65,259) with November sales at 5,720 (5,661); while van sales in the 1.8-3.5 tonne category total 110,559 (105,701) this year with November sales at 10,072 (8,853).
