ALFA Romeo is making range changes to the 164 to improve comfort and appearance along with price rises averaging 1.8%. The 164 2.0 Twin Spark has been replaced by the 164 2.0 Super while the 164 2.0 Super is superseded by the 164 2.0 Super Lusso.

Enhancements include new sports seats, matching door panels and seat fabrics, and new alloy wheels (optional on the 164 2.0 Super). The 164 3.0 litre range is updated with two improved versions - the 164 3.0 Super and 164 3.0 Super Lusso - which replace existing models. Specification changes echo those found on the 164 2.0 Super Lusso but with the addition of electric tilt and heated front seats.

New prices are: 164 2.0 Super, £18,475; 2.0 Super Lusso, £20,929; 3.0 Super, £24,304; 3.0 Super Lusso, £27,467; 3.0 Super Auto, £25,768; 3.0 Super Lusso Auto, £28,929; 3.0 Cloverleaf, £30,426.
