BISHOPS Stortford-based security firm Astor Security Group has secured a new fleet of Vauxhall Astras in a £120,000 contract with local Vauxhall dealer Franklins. The fleet deal involves 10 Astra diesels - a mix of three and five-door Merit and LS models - which have been acquired on a maintenance inclusive three year contract hire basis through Vauxhall MasterHire Leasing.

The Astras will be driven by the company's engineers, who install and service a wide range of electronic security systems including intruder alarm systems, CCTV and access control systems. Replacing the established fleet, which comprised numerous makes and models, the Astras have an anticipated annual mileage of around 100,000 miles. A further five Astras are to be added to the fleet in the near future, while Vectras, for use by Astor Security's sales team, will also be introduced.
