CHEVIN Computer Systems has joined the campaign to improve the quality of fleet management software.
The move follows claims by Greg Connell, managing director of Car Fleet Control, that the reputation of the industry as a whole is jeopardised by a minority of flash-in-the-pan outfits, who cannot offer the back-up which fleet customers require, and do not have the resources to develop software which takes advantage of all the latest developments in technology. Chevin launched its own RoadBASE for DOS system over 10 years ago, and has recently adapted it for Windows.
As part of the research behind the launch of its new DRIVE product for large fleets, FCS Computer Services worked closely with several focus groups to discover exactly what they were looking for.
