Jaguar has revealed the first images that hint at its new brand direction with its new Type 00 electric concept car.

The brand made the dramatic decision to scrap production of its entire line-up to relaunch as an all-electric luxury car manufacturer in 2026.

Jaguar’s rebrand has certainly captured eyeballs with its new logo, font and design approach splitting opinion.

The "Miami Pink" Type 00 (pronounced zero zero) hints at a new range of future Jaguar EVs and the model now made its public debut at Miami Art Week.

There will very likely be a production version of the Type 00, after a test vehicle was already spotted on UK roads last month. The concept and the test vehicle feature similar art-deco style proportions.

Professor Gerry McGovern, JLR chief creative officer, told Miami Art Week: "Type 00 is the first physical manifestation of the new Jaguar brand.

"This is a taste of things to come. Those of you who know me, know that I don't believe in concepts unless they become a reality."

McGovern acknowledged the Type 00's "jaw dropping proportions with an elongated bonnet that doesn't conform to electric vehicle design, and why should it?".

Jaguar has confirmed that the first of its next generation models will be a four door GT to be revealed in late 2025.

The new model will be built in the UK and will target a range up to 478 miles WLTP on a single charge and adding up to 200 miles of range in as little as 15 minutes when rapid charging.

Fleet customers will still be able to order a limited number of I-Pace models until early 2025.

A spokeperson for the brand told Fleet News in November: “While retail sales of current generation of Jaguar vehicles has come to a close, we are still able to provide direct sales customers - including leasing partners and fleet and business clients - opportunity to own Jaguar I-Pace until mid-2025 through our direct sales channels.”
