AIRLINE-style safety cards are being installed in all new Saab cars to highlight the importance of correctly using in-car safety systems. The laminated cards, similar to those found in the seat pockets of airline jets, graphically set out simple instructions to ensure maximum security for drivers and passengers.

Guidance is given on the correct use and adjustment of seatbelts, head restraints and child seats, as well as how to secure and carry luggage. The behaviour of ABS brakes is also explained. The cards have been produced as part of Saab's approach to 'real-life' safety, maximising driver and passenger protection in everyday situations.
