PEUGEOT has revealed ambitious plans to double its sales of commercial vehicles in the UK over the next 12 months and boost its number of dedicated van centres to over 100.

The success will be built on two new vehicles - the Expert, based on the Peugeot/Citroen/Fiat joint venture MPV and the Partner which will also be sold as the Citroen Berlingo.

The Expert, on sale on September 2 aims at 1,000 sales in a full year while the Partner goes on sale on October 15 aiming at more than 4,000 sales a year. Peugeot doesn't know how the fleet/retail split will go and will market to both sectors.
