VAUXHALL is to introduce an 'intelligent' traffic information device on parts of its range for the new model year. The manufacturer will fit Trafficmaster's new Oracle in-car system as standard on selected vehicles after placing an order for 100,000 units.

Oracle communicates with radio beacons located alongside motorways at two mile intervals and receives real time traffic flow information which is transmitted to the driver via the car radio. Vauxhall have not yet specified which models will carry Oracle.
