MAJOR fleet insurer Eagle Star is guaranteeing customers a 10% reduction in accident rates if they train their drivers with New Driver Training Initiatives. If the 10% reduction is not met within the first year, NDI will retrain 10% of the customers' drivers free.

The training includes theory and on-the-road practical sessions, and is available for Eagle Star Fleet and Smallfleet customers, with programmes for car, van and heavy commercial vehicle drivers. The insurer already offers up-front premium discounts to fleets who commit to train with NDI, and these discounts may be supplemented by renewal bonuses based upon claims experience.
