BRITAIN'S top companies are to be ranked according to their commitment to a 'green' transport policy by the Environmental Transport Association.
As environmental fleet management practices and alternative fuels attract increasing fleet attention in the light of Chancellor Kenneth Clarke's recent Budget, the ETA is to send transport environmental questionnaires to the top 100 FTSE companies. Based on the survey the ETA will draw up the Corporate Environmental Transport Index which will rank the top 100 FTSE companies in order of their corporate responsibility vis-a-vis transport and the environment.
