PAPER converter Staples Disposables has taken delivery of a Mercedes 412 Sprinter and curtainside drawbar unit on four-year full service contract hire from Ryder. The Sprinter, which also has a curtainside body, is an addition to the company's fleet of six vehicles. It will cover an average of 50,000 miles a year, making nationwide deliveries for the Lincolnshire-based company which makes toilet rolls, paper napkins and printed tissues.

Transport manager Ian Nicholls said the Sprinter was chosen for its three-tonne payload capacity and versatility. He said: 'We can use the Sprinter to get urgent orders to distributors quickly and its manoeuvrability means it can reach them where we might otherwise have access problems. We are very pleased. The vehicle provides us with a complete solution.'
