SUBARU has beaten 32 other manufacturers to come out top of this year's annual UK Customer Satisfaction Study conducted by J.D. Power and BBC Top Gear from information provided by more than 16,400 owners and drivers of M-registered cars.

Second place was shared by Honda and Kia, with Daewoo making its survey debut in fourth. Skoda, Mazda, Toyota, Jaguar, Nissan, BMW and Proton make up the rest of the top ten, which was revealed yesterday (Thursday).

In the individual models survey of 87 vehicles the Toyota Corolla and Celica tied in first place, with joint third going to the Subaru Impreza, Skoda Felicia and Nissan Micra. Five models took joint sixth place - the BMW 5-Series, Mazda 323, Proton Persona, Subaru Legacy and Jaguar saloon range.
