LONDON'S second largest courier company has chosen Car Fleet Control software for the crucial role of co-ordinating its motorbike workshop. Courier Systems maintains a fleet of 70 BMW K75RT motorbikes as well as machines run by its many owner-riders.

Keeping the bikes on the road and in good condition is critical, with proprietor Ian Oliver saying: 'A bike which is off the road is not generating income but we run our bikes in very tough conditions. They average more than 1,000 miles per week and we keep them for quite a while. We have had some since the company started five years ago.'

Three technicians handle maintenance and repair but as the fleet increased in size a workshop management system was required to keep control of parts and supplies. The company looked at a variety of workshop management software systems and chose Car Fleet Control's PC-based Workshop Manager.
