SAAB GB has recalled 21,500 of its 900 models to replace a small component in the accelerator system. The Swedish manufacturer says around 10 cars in the US have suffered from their throttles sticking after minor corrosion in the housing, although no accidents or injury resulted.

Cars in every market will be returned to the dealer network for the 10 minute operation. The work will be completed free of charge. The move is the latest in a series of major vehicle recalls by manufacturers, following well-publicised product liability cases in the US.
