EURODOLLAR has won a joint supply contract with Alamo worth £1 million to supply rental cars to banking giant Barclays. Estimated at 20,000 rental days a year, the contract will provide vehicles for Barclays staff travelling on business between the company's 2,000 sites across England and Wales.

Alamo was previously a sole supplier but will now share the business after EuroDollar was asked to tender for the contract because of its larger network of outlets. Personnel will be able to book cars using Speedlink - EuroDollar's paperless rental management system, which will be installed at a number of Barclays sites nationwide.

Barclays manager of staff benefits Neil Baker said: 'It is important that our suppliers can respond immediately to the ad hoc demands of our company around the country.'
