LDV has launched a pair of new additions to the Pilot range in the shape of the Pick-up and Dropside. Like the rest of the LDV range, special adaptations are carried out in-house at the LDV factory.

Based on the Pilot 2.8 tonne chassis, the Pick-up - available now at £11,795 plus VAT - has been factory-engineered using a dropside body with distinctive and visually attractive body-coloured aluminium sides and tail, which can be removed to offer flatbed versatility. All the side and tail locks are recessed and have anti-rattle hinges and the resin-bonded floor is fixed to a galvanised understructure and boasts a class-leading payload of 1,366kg.

The 2.6 tonne Pilot Dropside has a plain aluminium body, but costs £11,495 plus VAT. Both models are powered by the familiar 1.9 diesel engine and have five speed gearboxes, power steering and dual passenger seats.
