THE British Medical Association has outsourced management of its 75-vehicle fleet to PHH Vehicle Management Services. The BMA previously managed the fleet, but chose PHH for its ability to deliver quality support across all areas of fleet management including vehicle purchase and disposal, maintenance management, driver liaison and accident management.
Head of human resources Kevin McMahon said: 'The motor industry has changed and it was obvious that, by taking advantage of a large fleet management company's leverage with suppliers, there were savings to be made. PHH sales manager Mike Curtis said that an initial review of the fleet operation revealed that there was little support for drivers within the existing fleet management structure. 'This gave us a great deal of scope to suggest improvements and cost savings,' he said.
