THE AA Driving School has completed its switch to Ford Fiesta Ghia Xs in the first phase of a four-year, 10,000-car deal worth £110 million. The driving school announced in February that it was swapping its fleet of Rover 114s for the luxury version of the Fiesta, replacing its cars every six months, and sourcing 2,500 per year.

British Car Contracts has managed the move from Rover to Ford, overseeing vehicle delivery, funding the cars, monitoring their performance and supervising their servicing needs.

Steve Fothergill, AA Driving School's planning and development manager, said: 'The changeover operation from one manufacturer to another could have been disruptive, but BCC's handling of the procedure was faultless. Everything went smoothly, with superb vehicle preparation and vehicles delivered direct to instructors' doorsteps throughout the country.
