ALFA Romeo has carried out an extensive revision of its GTV and Spider and added more equipment while increasing prices by an average 1%. All models in the UK now come with standard air conditioning, which also includes a pollen filter, a new dashboard and central console. Among exterior styling changes are body-coloured bumpers and new design alloy wheels.

New cloth trim and door panels have been joined by changes for the boot lining material, gear knob and mats. The options range has been extended to include a blue or red style interior, at £572.23, including VAT. The Lusso becomes part of the model range instead of an option pack and includes an electric hood as standard.

Power for the 2.0 Twin Spark 16-valve engine has been uprated 5bhp to 155bhp. Following an initial delivery of 3.0-litre models earlier this year, it is now a permanent part of the line-up, with power unchanged at 220bhp. Prices are up £228 for the Spider, at £23,558.68 for the 2.0 base model and £26,163.65 for the 2.0 Lusso. The GTV increases £214 in price, to £22,158.08 for the 2.0 base model, to £24,853.53 for the 2.0 Lusso. The 3.0 V6 24-valve is only available as a Lusso, costing £28,068.33.
