SUBARU UK has agreed a £1 million alarm supply deal with vehicle technology group Toad. The Sigma brand of advanced alarms will be fitted as standard to Subaru Impreza turbo and Forester turbo models and the companies are in discussions over supplying the alarm as an option on other models.

Toad has a dedicated research and development team which works with manufacturers to match products to their individual requirements. Bryan Pimm, technical director of Subaru UK, said: 'Our contact with Toad has developed into a close product development relationship with Sigma that we fully expect to grow over the years.'

The deal follows a number of contracts won by Toad to supply car audio and security equipment, with clients including Abbey National, Royal and Sun Alliance and Hartwell Group. Toad already supplies Sigma car alarms for the Renault Clio.
